Frequently asked questions
Are my mortgage details saved or sent anywhere?
No. Your home price, down payment, rate, ownership costs, and payment scenarios are processed on your device and are not sent to the developer. The Rates feature separately requests public historical rate data from FRED without including your mortgage details.
Why is historical rate data not loading?
The Rates feature needs an internet connection to retrieve public data from FRED. Check your connection and try again. If FRED is temporarily unavailable, Mortgage Atlas may display representative fallback data and label it accordingly.
Are the calculations loan offers or financial advice?
No. Mortgage Atlas is an educational planning tool. Results are estimates and can differ from lender calculations, closing disclosures, taxes, insurance, and actual loan terms. Historical rates are national averages or indexes, not loan offers.
How do I report a bug?
Email the address on this page with what you expected, what happened, and the steps that caused it. If possible, include your device model, iOS version, and a screenshot. Please remove sensitive personal or financial information before sending.
Can I suggest a feature?
Yes. Feature ideas and usability feedback are welcome. Use the support email and describe what you would like Mortgage Atlas to help you accomplish.
Does Mortgage Atlas require an account?
No account or sign-in is required. The app also contains no advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
