Privacy Policy

Mortgage Atlas is developed and operated by Rafayel Sargsyan (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Mortgage Atlas mobile application (the “App”).

Summary

Mortgage Atlas is designed to keep your mortgage information private:

• Mortgage and payment information you enter is processed locally on your device.
• We do not receive, collect, or store your mortgage inputs or calculation results.
• The App does not require an account.
• The App does not contain advertising or third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app or cross-website tracking.
• The Rates feature connects to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’s FRED service to retrieve public mortgage-rate data. Your mortgage inputs and calculation results are not included in those requests.

Information You Enter in the App

You may enter information such as a home price, down payment, interest rate, loan term, loan start date, property tax, insurance, homeowners association fees, private mortgage insurance, and additional principal payments.

The App uses this information only to perform mortgage calculations and display payment estimates, amortization schedules, graphs, and scenarios on your device. The App does not transmit this information to us or to FRED, and we do not have access to it.

Mortgage inputs are held in the App’s active on-device state. The App does not create an online account or save these inputs to a developer-controlled server.

Historical Mortgage-Rate Data

When you use the Rates feature, the App makes an encrypted HTTPS request to fred.stlouisfed.org to retrieve public historical mortgage-rate data. The request identifies the public rate series being requested; it does not include your home price, down payment, loan details, calculation results, name, email address, or other information you entered in the App.

Like any internet service, FRED may automatically receive standard network and request information, such as an IP address, request time, and technical request metadata. The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis handles that information under its own Online Privacy Notice. Its FRED Legal Notices and Terms also apply to use of the FRED service.

Mortgage Atlas is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Freddie Mac, or Optimal Blue.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

The App does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not use your information for targeted advertising, advertising measurement, profiling, or tracking across apps or websites. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Apple may independently process information related to App Store downloads, purchases, diagnostics, or use of Apple services under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not control Apple’s data practices.

Information You Voluntarily Send to Us

If you contact us by email or through an App Store support channel, we may receive the contact information and message content you choose to provide. We use that information only to respond to your request, provide support, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations. We do not use support communications for advertising.

Data Sharing

We do not share your mortgage inputs or calculation results because we do not receive them. We may disclose information that you voluntarily send to us only when reasonably necessary to:

• respond to your request;
• comply with applicable law, a court order, or another valid legal process;
• protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the App, or others; or
• work with a service provider acting on our behalf and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Data Retention and Deletion

We do not retain your mortgage inputs or calculation results on our systems. Public rate data retrieved from FRED may be cached temporarily in the App’s memory for the current app session.

Support messages you voluntarily send may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete a support communication by contacting us at the address below. We will honor applicable requests unless retention is required or permitted by law.

Because the App has no user accounts and we do not possess your calculator data, there is no developer-held calculator-data account to access or delete. You can remove information under the App’s control by changing the fields or deleting the App from your device.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information you voluntarily provide to us, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of that information, or to object to certain processing. You may submit a request using the contact information below. We may need to verify a request before fulfilling it.

The App does not request consent for advertising or tracking because it does not perform those activities. If our practices change, we will update this policy, provide any required notices or choices, and update our App Store privacy disclosures.

Children’s Privacy

Mortgage Atlas is a general-audience financial planning tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. Rate-data requests use HTTPS encryption. However, no device, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will provide any notice required by applicable law.
